Teneo Ireland is seeking applications from highly skilled and dynamic individuals for the role of Senior Consultant (Senior Account Manager) in Corporate Reputation Advisory.

About You and the Role

As a Senior Consultant (Senior Account Manager) you’ll be responsible for providing the highest quality of service to our clients. You will play a pivotal role in driving activity across account teams, acting as a day-to-day lead and trusted advisor to your clients.

Senior Consultants manage and coach our Consultants and Associate Consultants, while reporting into and learning from our Associate Directors, Directors and Managing Directors.

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other strands of Teneo’s full-service offering to deliver integrated solutions to clients. This includes our Brand & Consumer Communications team, Digital & Creative team and Sports Advisory team as well as opportunities for collaboration with our Performance and Consulting team and our Financial Advisory team. In addition, there is opportunity and scope to collaborate with Teneo colleagues in our international offices on global client mandates.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant (Senior Account Manager) at Teneo, you will:

  • Be a key day-to-day strategic advisor for clients and working alongside colleagues.
  • Develop communications solutions, plans and campaigns for clients to enhance corporate reputation and deliver client business objectives.
  • Apply the highest standards of excellence to deliver consistent and positive results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Teneo clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of your clients and their respective sectors.
  • Keep informed of key business and political developments in Ireland and internationally.
  • Keep informed regarding changes in the media and political landscape and build strong media and stakeholder connections.
  • Develop and implement effective media engagement strategies and plans for clients.
  • Craft written communication materials for clients to an excellent standard.
  • Oversee high quality reporting to demonstrate the value and impact of results.
  • Contribute to new business development and pitches.
  • Be a proactive, supportive, and encouraging role model by being ambitious to achieve the best for your colleagues, your clients and yourself.
  • Be a professional, reliable, and values driven ambassador for Teneo in all ways.

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years in a corporate communications role with significant consultancy sector experience.
  • Excellent communications (oral and written) & presenting skills.
  • Knowledgeable of and adept at working with media - experience and connectivity with media in Ireland is essential and experience with international media is helpful.
  • Experience providing strategic counsel to clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client, colleague, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to learn at pace and become a subject matter expert.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to anticipate next steps and requirements for clients and plan accordingly.
  • A positive, flexible and ambitious team player who is proactive, agile, and a self-starter.
  • A strong understanding of the financial and commercial side of client account management.
  • Desire to produce high quality materials and deliver excellence for clients.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and a desire to support colleagues.
