Job Description:

As a POS Specialist at Dave & Buster's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Point of Sale (POS) systems. The POS Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting POS hardware and software, providing technical support to end-users, and collaborating with various teams to optimize POS functionality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

POS System Maintenance:

•Ensure the proper functioning of POS hardware and software.

•Conduct routine inspections, updates, and maintenance of POS systems.

•Collaborate with IT teams to address any hardware or software issues promptly.

Technical Support:

•Provide technical support to end-users, including servers, workstations, and peripherals.

•Troubleshoot POS-related problems and implement effective solutions.

•Assist in training staff on POS system usage and best practices.

Data Security:

•Implement and enforce security measures to protect POS systems and sensitive data.

•Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in POS security.

Collaboration:

•Work closely with the IT department to integrate POS systems with other business applications.

•Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Documentation:

•Maintain accurate records of POS configurations, issues, and resolutions.

•Create and update documentation for troubleshooting and support procedures.

Vendor Management:

•Communicate effectively with POS system vendors to resolve technical issues and implement upgrades.

•Manage relationships with POS service providers to ensure timely support and maintenance.

 

Qualifications:

Proven experience in supporting and maintaining Oracle Hospitality POS systems.
Strong technical skills, including hardware troubleshooting and software configuration.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of data security best practices.
Familiarity with the hospitality or entertainment industry is a plus.
