Job Description:
Responsible for the development, implementation and control of the credit and collection policies globally to reduce risk of credit loss and appropriately manage DSO. Global process owner for Accounts Receivables.
What you’ll do:
- Global process leadership for Accounts Receivable to ensure simple, standard, and controlled processes are deployed throughout the organization. This includes training, creating, and monitoring standard policies, procedures, and metrics globally. Work with Legal to protect Schreiber from potential bankruptcy issues. Represent Accounts Receivable on corporate initiatives/projects.
- Analyze information, identify opportunities, and provide business advice to drive meaningful action. Monitor and communicate the status of accounts receivables. Recommend and implement changes to improve working capital.
- Safeguard company assets and protect Schreiber from fraud by following procedures, monitoring for internal and external threats, and identifying improvements to enhance internal controls. Ensure customer master data procedures are followed and data is accurate.
- Responsible for leading, developing and inspiring a team of partners. This includes working collaboratively to establish and monitor performance goals and encourage training and growth opportunities.
- Understand and design systems to facilitate efficient and accurate invoice and collection processes while following defined policies and procedures.
- Network regularly with other companies to benchmark and identify best practices. Actively participate in Credit related meetings and forums. Implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelors in Finance, Accounting
- 5 years’ experience in Credit
- Knowledge of domestic and international credit and collection procedures.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable systems.
- Knowledge of both mainframe and PC-based computer systems.
- Ability to communicate and participate as a team member as part of cross-functional teams concerned with customer focused situations.
- Familiarity of bankruptcy laws.
- Ability to travel up to 10% (within and outside of the US)

For positions that require any amount of travel: Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
