McKesson’s Corporate Strategy & Business Development team (CSBD) is responsible for developing and deploying strategies to protect and grow the enterprise. CSBD operates at the highest levels within the organization and, as such, is seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Sr. Manager to support internal department operations activities. This role is an excellent bridge opportunity for a healthcare-oriented talent with project management and internal communications strength, who wants to leverage their core skills to collaboratively drive operational excellence in a high-visibility role.

Position Description

The Senior Manager, CSBD Operations will report to the Director, Enterprise Strategy & CSBD Operations. This individual will support operational projects across the entire Corporate Strategy & Business Development department and be a champion for our CSBD values and culture. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Department Functions (75%):

  • Assist with the development of the department's yearly planning process in partnership with the Director of Enterprise Strategy & CSBD Operations
  • Lead efforts for Great Place to Work and related communications
  • Support the onboarding process for new team members
  • Oversee vendor contracts and subscription services for the CSBD department
  • Coordinate business continuity tasks and compliance reporting
  • Facilitate tracking of conference attendance and dissemination of post-conference insights
  • Support the planning and execution of various team initiatives and gatherings, such as the annual CSBD forum, office days, community service events, quarterly team meetings, and monthly team newsletters.

Knowledge Management (10%):

  • Lead CSBD Knowledge Management, including ownership of the CSBD Teams site
  • Publish CSBD Daily News
  • Coordinate and develop quarterly priorities report

Budget Management (10%):

  • Manage market research budget and resource allocation/utilization
  • Support evaluation and planning of new investments and renewals
  • Support budget planning and tracking for large events

Special Projects (5%):

  • Support ad hoc special projects from the CSBD leadership team, which may include projects focused on talent initiatives, workflow / process improvement, and team communications, etc.

Minimum Requirements 

  • 4+ years of experience with general project management, program management, communications, process improvement, and/or analyst experience
  • Experience in and knowledge of the health care industry preferred

  • Healthcare acumen: understands healthcare industry stakeholders, trends, and terminology
  • Strong project management and execution skills
  • Must be a driven self-starter who is able to balance competing priorities and work well under schedule pressures; ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate, influence others, and ensure timely follow-up of action items
  • Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive materials
  • Executive presence
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office suite: Team, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, Forms, etc.

Education 

4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements

General office demands. Occasional travel (< 10%)

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$91,400 - $152,400
