GCG is seeking Ground Crewmen skilled in baggage handling, freight service delivery and preparation with emphasis on customer service, safety, and teamwork.
Requirements:
Coordinate the safe and timely loading/off-loading of baggage, cargo co-mail, freight, mail, catering, commissary and other miscellaneous items in accordance with company procedures and airline standards.
Conduct verification checks related to measure, weight and labels of all freight moving in and out of the warehouse.
Ensure appropriate storage of freight, within the storage bins or other designated areas.
Report accurately and comprehensively all equipment failures to Team Lead, immediately.
Assist screening agents with the moving of freight during the screening process.
Keep up to date with all airline and company policies and procedures by reading and signing bulletin folders.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of three (3) CXC passes, including Mathematics and English Language
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position or in the Service Industry
Basic knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
A valid driver’s licence
A valid Police Certificate of Character
Ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
Able to work in a fast paced, team-focused, multi-faceted environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
