GCG is seeking Ground Crewmen skilled in baggage handling, freight service delivery and preparation with emphasis on customer service, safety, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Coordinate the safe and timely loading/off-loading of baggage, cargo co-mail, freight, mail, catering, commissary and other miscellaneous items in accordance with company procedures and airline standards. 

  • Conduct verification checks related to measure, weight and labels of all freight moving in and out of the warehouse.

  • Ensure appropriate storage of freight, within the storage bins or other designated areas.

  • Report accurately and comprehensively all equipment failures to Team Lead, immediately.

  • Assist screening agents with the moving of freight during the screening process.

  • Keep up to date with all airline and company policies and procedures by reading and signing bulletin folders.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of three (3) CXC passes, including Mathematics and English Language

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar position or in the Service Industry

  • Basic knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • A valid driver’s licence

  • A valid Police Certificate of Character

  • Ability to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within your team

  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Able to work in a fast paced, team-focused, multi-faceted environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
