How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing will be responsible for developing, executing, managing, analyzing and optimizing digital marketing campaigns to increase both online and offline performance.

This role has responsibility over the P&L for digital advertising campaigns and, in working with the external marketing agency, will deliver business value based on profitability targets.

The individual in this role is expected to be in collaboration with Marketing Operations, Creative, Merchandising, Regional eBusiness Managers and other key stakeholders in strategy development, tactic execution and detailed reporting.

Digital Advertising Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute successful growth strategies to drive revenue and profitability in partnership with our external ad agency

  • Oversee the weekly, monthly, quarterly performance and P&L of the digital advertising program, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded

  • Oversee budget pacing and revenue efficiency in alignment with forecasts and available budget

  • Determine placement of digital ads within customer experience journeys, marketing programs aimed at online/offline revenue growth, lead generation, product adoption and other business needs

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Must be able to envision the entirety of each campaign and work with all teams (email, creative, marketing communications, sales, etc.) to ensure integration and results

  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with key members of the Marketing team to execute omni channel campaigns, including broad agreement on objectives, audiences and messaging

  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Digital Project Managers and the Digital Creative team to work collectively toward deadlines and resolve edits and issues in a timely manner

  • Advocate for continuous improvement of solutions by developing new processes and optimizing existing processes.

  • Inspire, coach and develop digital marketing professionals on the effective use of strategies in the context of the Airgas business to maintain a high performing team

  • Foster a culture of innovation among the team, encouraging testing continuously to improve performance

Reporting & Innovation

  • Take the initiative to utilize data tools and analytics to track performance, derive insights, and make data-informed decisions working closely with the customer analytics team when assistance and expertise is needed to optimize/scale existing programs

  • Develop and present summaries for leadership, identifying key areas of opportunity and risk, including business cases for areas of growth and innovation when appropriate

  • Lead the research,  discovery and piloting of new marketing technologies and tools to maintain digital advertising excellence and performance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BA degree in Business, Marketing, Digital technologies or similar relevant field

  • 8+ years of professional experience managing digital marketing channels and budget management experience

  • Experience executing digital marketing campaigns in SEM and PLA and having responsibility for budget pacing and P&L

  • Knowledge of B2B marketing tactics and lead conversion best practices

  • Strong integrated marketing communications and management skills, including research, analysis and strategy

  • Experience writing creative briefs and business cases, ensuring that necessary information is provided in order to achieve campaign objectives or understand the presented opportunity 

  • Highly comfortable with ambiguity; experience in developing and implementing new approaches and processes

  • Expertise in display advertising, retargeting, SEO, landing page optimization, content marketing and digital analytics to ensure increasing conversion rates.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, presentation, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills

  • Must be able to work fluidly as a leader, a team member and independently

  • Experience leading a team to success, optimizing performance, and driving team member development, engagement and performance
