Job Summary
Telstra’s looking for an experienced lead, to join the Risk and Compliance technology team. With your strategic thinking, you'll have the opportunity to create a new approach to how we're going to manage risk, moving forward, in the technology space, with this role flowing into Product & Technology.The opportunity
You and your team will support and oversee the implementation and maintenance of risk and compliance frameworks for technology risk management across your support Function and the wider organisation. You’ll provide guidance and support to technology teams and stakeholders, conducting and overseeing risk and compliance assessments, audits, and reviews, managing and responding to complaints and incidents. You'll play a critical role in communicating and presenting to senior management on technology and other risk management matters.

What you'll do
In this technology risk role, you’ll be ahead of the game when it comes to technology risks and trends, strategic approaches to technology risk, and identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in tech risk management. You'll also lead and provide guidance and support to technology teams and stakeholders on technology risk management best practices and requirements, and facilitate the integration of risk and compliance considerations into technology decision making and project delivery.
As a Technology Risk & Compliance Principal you’ll manage a small, second line, risk team to;
Apply deep technical and professional expertise in risk and compliance domains to effectively manage, monitor, and evaluate the risk and compliance management of the business.
Generate and apply insights into the analysis of current and /or proposed business operations to identify areas of risk, leveraging strategic thinking to quantify impacts and determine mitigation activities.
Authentically engage with and effectively influence a range of internal stakeholders to help distil complex risk and compliance problems into simple and manageable actions that result in optimal business outcomes.
About you
Australia-based with full working rights
Extensive experience in Risk & Compliance, having built out risk frameworks, playing a role in senior governance; writing board/ committee papers, etc
Experience in Technology risk working as a Senior Lead in this space \
You're a thought leader in risk and compliance and use authentic communication to partner and engage key stakeholders, up to C-Suite, across the enterprise
Ideally around 4+ years of experience in a People/ Work lead role
You're able to distil complex R&C information into digestible information for a variety of different stakeholders in different areas
