The Role:
Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial, the Senior Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics is a critical role in furthering the development, refinement, and measurement of Nuvalent commercial strategy for zidesamtinib and NVL-655, potential best-in-class therapies for biomarker-directed NSCLC. The person in this role will manage a team responsible for market research, forecasting, KPIs, data strategy, and advanced analytics. This role must be adept at uncovering strategic, actionable insights through a variety of data sources and methodologies and must be able to drive organizational alignment. This position reports to the Head, Commercial Operations and will work closely with members of Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Medical Affairs.

Responsibilities:

•    Deliver on commercial services related to market research, forecasting, data strategy, and advanced analytics.
•    Develop data strategy to support brand strategy and launch readiness. This includes reviewing and identifying an onboarding data sources and external partners to support strategic goals.
•    Hire, develop, and retain the top talent within the Insights & Analytics function
•    Lead partnership with the brand team and cross-functional partners to understand and address key business questions 
•    Prioritize and generate insights and analytics considering business need, resourcing, and expected impact
•    Lead market research strategy and investment to complement other sources of data.
•    Lead forecast strategy including management of forecast models, assumptions, and cross-functional stakeholders.
•    Collaborate with marketing and sales on targeting, segmentation, patient finding, and territory
•    Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and regulatory guidelines governing commercial and scientific interactions.

•    Proficient in multichannel marketing directed towards HCPs and patients, including digital, media, peer-to-peer, congresses, and personal promotion tactics.
•    Drives for results and nurtures a performance-based culture of continuous improvement, addressing concerns and conflict proactively.
•    Characteristics include being entrepreneurial, collaborative, and an energetic initiative-taker with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree. MBA or equivalent degree preferable
•    10+ years biopharma experience including oncology launch experience
•    5+ years commercial oncology experience in the US market including data, analytics, and commercial operations
•    Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively and communicate at all levels within the company
•    Demonstrated experience in recruiting, on-boarding, managing, coaching, and retaining top talent; ability to lead and mentor multiple direct reports
•    Strong knowledge of analytics and operations tools/technologies 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills)
•    Up to 20% domestic travel
