Overview

We are seeking for an Apprentice to join our Transmission Distribution (T&D) – Civil team in RMZ, Bangalore office.
Our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business delivers end-to-end engineering solutions across substations, transmission networks, and grid modernization projects. We enable integration of renewables and digital engineering practices, supporting global standards to ensure reliable and sustainable energy infrastructure.

The BIM team plays a key role in digital delivery through 3D modelling, coordination, clash detection, and Scan-to-BIM workflows. This role offers exposure to multidisciplinary projects and advanced digital tools, providing a strong foundation for a career in engineering design and BIM.
This role provides hands-on experience across T&D, Renewables, Infrastructure, and nuclear sectors, with structured learning and mentoring support.

Your Role

• Assist in drafting and detailing of RCC and Steel structures for substation projects.
• Support development of substation layouts and general arrangement drawings.
• Work on foundations, equipment support structures, trenches, and basic infrastructure drawings (earthing, lighting, etc.).
• Develop and update 3D BIM models using Revit and other tools.
• Participate in model coordination and clash detection activities.
• Follow project standards, BEP, CAD/BIM protocols, and QA/QC requirements.
• Support model setup, data management, and CDE workflows.
• Coordinate with internal teams and contribute to timely project delivery.

About you

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree (or pursuing) in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in BIM, digital engineering, and infrastructure projects.
• Basic knowledge of CAD/BIM tools and engineering drawings.
• Willingness to build skills in 3D modelling, coordination, and global standards.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.

Essential Skills

• Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and drafting principles.
• Awareness of Civil/Structural fundamentals (RCC/Steel concepts).
• Familiarity with CAD standards and drawing practices.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to MicroStation, Navisworks, or Dynamo.
• Awareness of BIM concepts (LOD, coordination, model linking/Xrefs).
• Familiarity with BEP, CDE platforms (e.g., ProjectWise, BIM 360).
• Interest in Scan-to-BIM or digital engineering workflows.
• Exposure to international standards (UK/India/Middle East/APAC).
