Join our team! We are looking for a VMware Engineer with experience to design, manage, and optimize our VMware infrastructure.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible to:

  • Design and deploy VMware environments (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) in both physical and virtual settings. 
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. 
  • Contribute to system standards, policies, and procedures. 
  • Support the VMware vSphere environment including activities such as design, maintenance & troubleshooting. 
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues at the team level. 
  • Troubleshoot technology issues, using various internal and external resources. 
  • Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects. 
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality. 
  • Follow policies and procedures for change and incident management.  
  • Participate in rotational on-call shifts. 
  • Act as an escalation resource for complex technical issues and root cause analysis.  
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions. 

About You

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years related work experience. 
  • 2+ years of solid Virtualization experience. 
  • Strong VMware vRealize Orchestrator - design and development 
  • Strong automation experience – Python / PowerCli scripting 
  • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Demonstrable customer focus attitude. 

Preferred 

  • Experience with virtualization in a mid-to-large scale data center environment. 
  • Strong VMware vRealize Operations - Design and Support experience 
  • Strong vSphere API skills - automation and development 
  • Understanding of storage, network, and hardware technologies. 
  • Experience with NetApp storage and Cisco Data Center networking. 
  • Experience in working on Pure Storage Technology. 
  • Strong understanding of Cloud technologies
