About the job

In order to successfully support the Finance department in Italy, BG SAXO wants to welcome a person looking for a new opportunity within Financial Controlling.

In general, the candidate is part of the Finance team and responsible for the fields of Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Financial Controlling and local Financial Risk Management.

Key responsibility is the control and analysis of monthly, quarterly and yearly statements to local authorities and parent company as well as relevant regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

These will be your most important tasks, and we will help you perform them at your best:

  • management of day-to-day financial accounting, reporting and control in accordance with internal and external requirements and deadlines;

  • monthly follow up on cost controlling and support in yearly cost budget process;

  • preparation of annual statutory accounts;

  • acting as the main point of contact for the firm’s external and internal auditors and provision of all required information for both statutory and regulatory audit purposes;

  • coordinating the preparation and submission of supervisory regulatory reports and, where relevant, other regulatory bodies;

  • developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;

  • ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial and fiscal reporting;

  • identifying and implementing on-going improvements to the firm’s accounting- and consolidation systems and processes;

  • providing financial support and analysis to all parts of the business.

Your profile

We hope you are now aware of what is up for you. Now, about what background should you have to feel comfortable with this role:

  • university degree in Finance or equivalent education;

  • at least 2/3 years in a similar role in Finance departement in the banking and financial sector;

  • knowledge in accounting principles IAS/IFRS;

  • pro-active, well organized and precise way of working;

  • strong analytical skills and the ability to work well in a cross-geographic, cross-organizational and cross-cultural context;

  • languages: fluency in Italian and English are required, remember we’re a global company with offices around the world;

  • profound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
