The GSE team is looking for a Sales Enablement Manager (Hotel) to join the Global Sales Enablement (GSE) team. GSE is at the heart of Amex GBT’s commercial function, enabling our Sales and Client Managers to be effective in meeting strategic business priorities.

We are looking for a commercially minded/ sales-orientated professional to work with the hotel growth project team and our sales and client management teams to deliver against our hotel growth strategy. The role (US preferred) will help deliver on our business development initiatives related to hotel growth. It will be essential to partner with collaborators, leaders, commercial colleagues, and global business partnerships to get results at scale. You will be successful through effective project management alongside commercial and client engagement.

Although this role is an enablement position for the commercial team, there will also be a requirement for participation in customer conversations and driving opportunities. Being able to understand the client objectives and articulate how our hotel value prop meets clients’ needs will be essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Driving hotel growth through commercial and client engagement and effective project management.
  • Deliver against hotel growth goals.
  • Work with leaders to drive action and track results amongst the Sales and Client Management teams.
  • Effectively deliver communications and training on our hotel value proposition and provide input for continued improvement and refinement.
  • Support key client conversations where there is a significant opportunity:

-(e.g., in strategic / hotel focussed client meetings, RFPs, best and finals and renewals)

  • Be an advocate and expert for all hotel related tools and services, such as payment solutions, Hotel Reshop etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel trends and customer-related hotel needs:

-understand how to position to GBT advantage.

-address gaps with relevant teams.

  • Be able to analyse and understand top-priority customer growth opportunities, to best direct commercial efforts in support of hotel growth goals.
  • Launch change projects and commercial initiatives to the commercial organisation.
  • Compile simple project plans to include progress updates, project schedule (with critical path and key achievements) and key risks.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and global project activities.
  • Hold collaborators to account to avoid or minimise client disruption or impact.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key collaborator groups across the business while maintaining a collaborative approach to drive best results.
  • Provide feedback to product, marketing teams etc. on commercial or customer needs, partnering to ensure requirements are appropriately captured and actioned.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Client Management, Sales, or Consulting. Other commercial roles also eligible.
  • Interest in, or experience in hotel sales or consultancy
  • Ability to articulate the GBT value prop and through doing so, being able to encourage internal teams, clients, and prospects to act.
  • Commercial / sales attitude is important, and you will be expected to identify and close opportunities.
  • Advanced presentation skills and comfortable with leading in-person or virtual sales training to groups of 20-200 people.
  • Ability and confidence to collaborate, build relationships, and influence Senior Leaders and Business Partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Zoom/Webex necessary, along with advanced writing and grammar skills (English).
  • Strategic and analytic thinking and competent with developing needs analyses
  • Excellent writing skills, with ability to extract and articulate key messages, edit, and proofread.
  • Ability to lay-out and format communications to be impactful.
  • Effective and convincing verbal communication skills

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for either our Annual Incentive Award plan, which rewards participants based on company and individual performance, or eligible for one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans (certain sales roles only).  An eligible employee can only participate in one of these plans during an eligible period.  This role is also eligible for awards under the company Equity Incentive Plan, which is designed to align participants' interests with those of shareholders.  For information about our comprehensive US benefits programs and eligibility, please review our Benefits-at-a-Glance document.
