Johnson & Johnson Vision EMEA is recruiting for an EMEA Data Analytics Expert, located in Dublin or other major European hubs.

In this regional role, you will be part of the regional Commercial Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics, empowering data‑based decisions to drive performance and redefining the ways we interact with our customers. You will play a key role building and deploying solutions to implement our data strategy and transforming analytics capabilities across the region.

As a member of the EMA Commercial Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics, you will need to have a passion for data and be exceptionally strong at understanding, preparing, and operationalising commercial data using modern solutions, as well as creating data visualisations that make insights easy to interpret for business partners through innovative approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide, design, and deliver best‑in‑class, action‑oriented BI dashboards with local commercial teams across EMEA.

  • Act as the go‑to person for existing regional data processes feeding regionally developed dashboards, including running, maintaining, and debugging existing data models and flows, and driving improvements to further automate processes.

  • Support CoE analytics services in the design and further development of data pipelines from internal and external sources.

  • Be responsible for commercial data‑related processes and dashboard documentation, ensuring strong business continuity between business, IT, and region/local markets.

  • Triaging and handling data & analytics‑related tickets and requirements submitted by local Business Intelligence analysts.

  • Support processes for new data set acquisition, integration, and distribution.

  • Ensure appropriate usage of data and controlled access.

  • Establish and monitor data quality metrics, including adoption and usage tracking.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues on data validation and data coordination activities.

  • This role will not have people management responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education:

Degree in computer sciences, statistics, mathematics, or a related field preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Exceptional analytical skills with 3–4 years’ experience in sales & marketing operations, business insights, or commercial analytics roles.

  • Advanced experience with SQL including UPDATE, INSERT, MERGE operations, stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and performance optimisation.

  • Experience with Python and/or R.

  • Experience working with Postgres, Redshift, or SQL Server.

  • Advanced experience with Alteryx and Tableau (desktop and server).

  • Knowledge of software development processes including testing, version control, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred:

  • Experience building production-grade data engineering pipelines

  • Experience with Databricks
