The opportunity:
Join our dynamic Strategy team as a Portfolio Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic initiatives and overseeing the portfolio of projects that drive business outcomes. As a strategic leader, you’ll ensure that our portfolio framework supports effective decision-making, governance, and resource allocation across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Strategy, you’ll lead the development and management of our enterprise portfolio, supporting business leaders in aligning their efforts with our strategic priorities and driving impactful business results.
Key responsibilities include:
Establishing and managing an enterprise portfolio framework in alignment with our strategic plan
Facilitating annual and quarterly business planning cycles to prioritise and allocate resources effectively
Preparing and presenting portfolio progress reports, ensuring clear communication at all levels of the business
Identifying and resolving strategic, financial, and resourcing issues to prevent project delays
Leading the execution of project governance, reporting, and review frameworks, providing a comprehensive view of organisational activities
Collaborating across the organisation to mitigate risks and escalating issues to executive sponsors
Supporting business leaders in improving performance through effective prioritisation and KPI setting
Leading and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of empowerment, ownership, and transparency.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
Experience in portfolio governance within enterprise PMO or transformation office environments
A proven track record of developing, implementing, and measuring portfolio performance in alignment with corporate strategy
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on inspiring and developing high-performing teams
Strong strategic and conceptual thinking skills
Experience influencing senior leadership and executive stakeholders
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships effectively.
