What impact you'll make?
The Senior Financial Reporting Leader will be responsible for the wing-to-wing detailed reporting analytics, financial reporting guidance and accurateness of the non-working capital financial statement line items (‘FSLI’) for the three statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) across the entire Power segment. In this role, you will be the key interface between the GEV Power ITR CFO’s and the GEV Corporate reporting team for your assigned FSLIs. This role will report to the Executive Power Segment Financial Reporting leader.
What you’ll do
Produce timely, accurate, and high-quality analytics for your FSLIs and identify anomalies early-on to ensure zero SAB99 or SOX deficiencies
Implement reviews and publish monthly analytics for your areas at segment and business unit level, and twice a year at business line level
Establish and own the financial reporting review metrics for your areas such as performance indicators, SAB99 tracker review, accounts usage deep dive, cost presentation policy adherence, policy testing, recast status (Gaap and non-gaap), etc
Own the representation letter structure and consolidation for the Power segment and the input to the representation letters as it relates to your areas
Own the controllership bowler with the GEV Corporate Reporting team and the Power Segment operational KPIs as it comes to Financial Reporting
Build capability to automate and standardize reporting for your FSLIs by creating integrated ledger-based data packs, covering 3 statements, with detailed breakdowns.
Optimize the reporting landscape for your areas by aligning processes, systems and people to ensure standard work, efficiency and scalability
Pro-actively manage related internal and external audit requests and observations as it relates to your areas
Develop capabilities for DISE reporting (ASU 2024-03) as it relates to your areas
Stay current with accounting policy updates for your assigned FSLI’s and ensure any impact is properly reflected in the financial statements
Review your FSLI’s to identify unusual balances and significant exposure to ensure compliance and appropriate disclosures. Present analysis to business CFO.
Assist other Controllership teams with various other related activities such as process improvement initiatives, quality programs, and financial reporting deep dive analysis.
Perform monthly and quarterly close analytics, commentary, and disclosures by leveraging Artificial Intelligence and enable automated narratives and anomaly alerts to drive proactive investigations and resolution
Other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as required by GEV Power Controllership.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
Master’s degree in accounting from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience
Major GEV (or equivalent) Finance / Controllership experience
Fluent English knowledge is essential
Strong knowledge of GEV systems, closing and reporting processes
Proficient knowledge in automating accounting and closing processes
