Data Management Services is a group of people that play a mediating and collaborating role between business and IT. This middle ground determines the caliber of person that would fit the role to be a strongly technical as well as business minded. Often this type of person is categorized as an intrapreneurial.

Primary responsibility is to support the Business and our Clients with data and insights using best practice Data Management techniques as outlined in the DMBoK. To achieve these outcomes, this will require that the candidate to have good interpersonal skills, to guide and make recommendations on best practice techniques to a strongly business minded audience.

Purpose of the role

• Provide Business Insight to support the FNZ TA SA business. This is done by:
• Using approved, state-of-the-art technology to build dashboards and data models.
• Collaborating with our clients’ data professionals to improve current products to increase usage.
• Collaborating with wider audience to improve and develop our combined Data Management strategies.
• Contributing to the development, documentation, and adoption of solutions for non-technical and technical audiences.

  • Provide data management services to external (Client related) and internal projects.
  • Provide input to data deliverables, conduct root cause analysis into anomalies & provide feedback to requesters.

    • SQL (ANSI – preferably T-SQL)
    • Dimensional modeling (Kimble methodology)
    • RDBMS architecture
    • OLTP and OLAP concepts
    • Data integration concepts (ETL / ELT)
    • MS Data Platform.
    • Azure Data Platform is advantageous.

• Educational Requirements (Educational / academic qualifications)
  • Matric essential.
  • Technical degree or diploma (in related industry) advantageous.
  • Formal business/technical analysis training advantageous.
  • Relevant data certifications advantageous.
