We are seeking a talented individual to assist and deliver end-to-end property finance related tasks to internal and external customers and stakeholders, to ensure their needs are met while adhering to proper governance compliance to Board and Management policies, standard operating procedures of the employer, regulatory bodies and appropriate authorities. This role reports to the team lead and the successful candidate will be based in Menara Hong Leong, Damansara City.

Accounting Procedures, Financial Control & Reporting:

  • To prepare and distribute invoices, debit/credit notes, receipts and any other financial documents.
  • To perform accounting matters and assist in general administrative works.
  • To collect rentals, service charges, car parking charges, utility charges and any other accounts receivables related to properties under management.
  • To monitor, report on account debtors under supervision and take necessary actions including legal actions, to recover arrears and other dues.
  • To prepare summaries of billing vs collection, debtor ageing and variance reports for weekly and monthly meetings.
  • To prepare journals, account receivables, account payable and bank reconciliations.
  • To assist in reconciliation of general ledger accounts under the purview of PPFM.
  • To check and verify all payment vouchers with relevant documents to substantiate claims from property related vendors.
  • To prepare building operations profit and loss statements.
  • To support tender exercises from tender opening to evaluation and review whenever necessary under the guidance of immediate superiors.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • To assist in the preparation and monitoring of building operation budget/forecast and variance reporting.
  • To assist in the preparation of proposal and recommendation memos for Management, Board Audit Committee and/or Board of Director approval.

General:

  • To provide timely reports as requested by superiors.
  • To meet organization goals by demonstrating ownership and accountability when accomplishing new or routine tasks assigned and adding value to the departmental performance.
  • To fulfil any ad-hoc tasks related to property finance and administration from time to time as instructed by superiors.

Job Requirements:

Education/Qualification

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent holder.
  • 3 years and above work experience in the related field is required for this position (preferably in the property industry).
  • Skilled in accounts receivables, payables and P&L management.

Experience & Skillsets

  • Experienced in MFRS 16 - recognizing lease assets and liabilities
  • Skilled in using Oracle ERP (or equivalent) and MS Excel
  • Well-versed in property finance or finance and accounting principles.
  • Analytical and solution oriented
  • Self-motivated, hardworking with ability to work independently.
  • Attention to details is a must.
