The Opportunity

The purpose of the Content Creator is to develop and maintain content roadmap for in‐application educational content library. Leveraging end to end content production skills, the role will execute video content strategies for Investly, including content for educational purposes within the Investly application, as well as for use in social media channels. The role has a dual reporting structure, reporting into the Investly team, but also the Corporate Affairs & Social Media teams.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain a content library according the needs defined by the Investly marketing team and the social media team
  • Develop and maintain content roadmap for in-application educational content library
  • Work with subject matter experts in portfolio management, customer experience and marketing to prioritize highest impact content to educate users on investing and Investly
  • Continually identify needs for new in-app content, and integrate this to the working roadmap
  • Develop multi-segment content journeys targeted at specific client demographics
  • Development and maintain content roadmap for social media within the Investly Content Pillars strategy
  • Work with Marketing & Corporate Affairs team to develop roadmap for short-form content to be used in external channels such as social media
  • Work with legal & compliance to vet and approve content roadmap for marketing and acquisition purposes
  • To incorporate performance and feedback of video content in social channels to inform the roadmap
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, providing insightful reports and data driven recommendations
  • To script, film, direct and produce short-form video content in line with the content roadmaps
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, Legal & Compliance to ensure that content scripts meet both marketing & legal needs 
  • To produce all aspects of video all the way up to final approval by legal & corporate affairs
  • Ensure that produced content meets compliance requirements, is in line with Investly Tone, Voice & Brand Guidelines, and within Fidelity‐wide content standards and guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum post-secondary education (3-year program) or equivalent work experience
  • Degree in production, journalism, finance, or a related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • An active portfolio of self-product social media content (i.e. Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube Shorts) will be required
  • Experience working within the asset management industry or similar financial services organization within a media production environment would be an asset
  • Bilingualism in English/French is an asset

Skills and Knowledge

  • End to end video content production including planning, scripting, filming and editing
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required
  • Understanding of digital technologies and emerging digital trends
  • Skill and Presence being in social media video content
  • The ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner
  • Creativity in communication styles and channels
  • The ability to follow defined processes when necessary
  • Interpersonal and influencing skills to achieve goals in Fidelity’s collaborative environment
  • Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to introducing new ideas and strategies
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage and deliver results through stakeholders
  • Ability to understand how to leverage data for decision making
