Private Family Office in Dallas, TX. Is seeking a qualified G550 mechanic to join the Aviation Team.  This is a full-time position in Dallas offering salary, medical/dental/vision insurance + 401(k).

Key responsibilities of a Gulfstream G550 Mechanic:

  • Maintenance and Inspections:
    • Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks according to manufacturer's guidelines. 
    • Performing thorough inspections of aircraft systems including engines, avionics, hydraulics, electrical systems, landing gear, and airframe. 
    • Identifying and reporting any potential defects or discrepancies. 
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnosing malfunctions using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures. 
    • Disassembling and repairing aircraft components as needed, including replacing worn or damaged parts. 
    • Performing complex repairs on aircraft systems, such as avionics, electrical systems, and hydraulics. 
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Accurately documenting all maintenance activities, including parts used, work performed, and findings on appropriate forms. 
    • Maintaining detailed maintenance logs and records to comply with FAA regulations. 
    • Reporting any discrepancies or issues to the maintenance supervisor. 
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks. 
    • Following FAA regulations and company quality standards. 
    • Using proper tools and equipment for maintenance procedures. 

Required qualifications for a Gulfstream G550 mechanic:

  • A&P License:

Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certificate from the FAA. 

  • Experience:

Prior experience working on complex business jets, preferably Gulfstream aircraft. 

  • Technical Skills:

Excellent understanding of aircraft systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics systems. 

  • Reading and Interpretation:

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance documentation. 

  • Physical Abilities:

Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
