Lead end-to-end global business development efforts, define and execute commercial strategy, Global Institutions Programs (conferences/training), high-value client relationships across Insurance, Asset Managers / Exchanges and Liquidity segments worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Market Expansion

  • Develop and implement a global go-to-market strategy targeting Insurance, Liquidity and Asset Manager / Exchanges segments, aligning with growth and profitability targets.
  • Monitor and interpret market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to pivot strategies and maintain competitive positioning.
  • Set segment-specific goals for client acquisition, revenue growth, and deployment of new product offerings.

Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Identify and secure new business across global Insurance and Liquidity clients (corporates, financial institutions, insurers), leveraging strong pipeline management and sales discipline.
  • Lead RFPs, RFIs, deal structuring, and pricing negotiations to win new mandates.
  • Collaborate with product, treasury, risk, investment, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Commercial Strategy & Product Innovation

  • Define and monitor KPIs tied to segment commercial performance—revenue, client satisfaction, market share.
  • Influence new product and channel development, collaborating closely with Product Management to capture unmet client needs.
  • Integrate digital and fintech solutions into Insurance and Liquidity product suites, enhancing client value and adoption.

Client Relationship Leadership & Service

  • Serve as trusted advisor to C-suite and decision-makers at target clients (e.g., insurers, reinsurers, institutional investors).
  • Manage key account relationships, anticipating needs and delivering service excellence; oversee execution through regional teams.
  • Maintain consistent dialogue with global centers of influence (COIs), industry bodies, and associations to elevate firm visibility and capture business opportunities.

Team Leadership & Internal Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional teams dedicated to Insurance and Liquidity segments; provide coaching, performance oversight, and professional development.
  • Partner with Marketing to design and launch targeted campaigns, events, thought leadership content, and webinars.
  • Drive alignment across global regions by sharing best practices, coordinating with risk/compliance teams, and ensuring operational readiness.

Ideal qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8–12+ years in global business development, strategic leadership, or commercial roles within financial services—with extensive exposure to insurance or liquidity products.
  • Demonstrated success in originating and closing large-scale institutional mandates and complex sales cycles.
  • Strong commercial acumen in product positioning, competitor analysis, pricing, and deal structuring.
  • Deep grasp of Insurance (underwriting, risk distribution, channel strategy,) and Liquidity (treasury, cash management, money-market, real-time liquidity).
  • Proven relationship-building and consulting skills with senior stakeholders, including board-level clients.
  • Excellent analytical mindset backed by market insight and data-driven decision making.
  • Skilled in cross-border or multi-regional deal coordination.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Desirable

  • Exposure to ESG-focused insurance/liquidity products.
  • Established network within Insurance or Treasury communities.
  • Certifications such as CFA, CFP, FRM, or treasury-related credentials.

For U.S. candidates, we expect the base salary for this position to range between $293,000 - $345,000, depending on level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
