What would you do? The role is to support the demand planning team in managing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for the products. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring sales trends, reviewing inventory data, and working closely with sales, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure the availability of products while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. You will play a key role in data management, report generation, and process optimization to improve forecasting accuracy and support the overall supply chain strategy.
You will be part of Supply Chain Planning Team which is responsible for end to end supply planning and execution
In Demand Management you will assess, design, build and Implement best practices on process, organization, and technology for Demand Planning capabilities including Demand Sensing, Forecasting, Demand Collaboration, Demand Planning within Integrated Planning.
What are we looking for? · Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are a plus
· Experience:
o 1–3 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a fast-paced retail or manufacturing environment
o Experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or other ERP tools) is an advantage
o Familiarity with forecasting methods and techniques, such as statistical forecasting, trend analysis, and demand variability
· Skills:
o Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas) and data analysis
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
o Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and consistency
o Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Experience working in a high-volume, dynamic supply chain or retail environment
· Understanding of key demand planning metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, stockouts, fill rates)
· Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities: ·Demand Forecasting Support:o Assist the demand planning team in developing, maintaining, and refining demand forecasts for all product categorieso Analyze historical sales data, trends,and seasonality to help create accurate demand forecastso Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotions, product launches, and market intelligence into demand forecastsData Management:·Collect, consolidate, and update forecast data from internal systems (e.g., ERP or forecasting tools)· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of demand data by regularly checking for discrepancies and making necessary adjustments· Assist in maintaining demand planning systems and tools to ensure data consistency and availabilityInventory Monitoring:·Work closely with the supply chain and inventory teams to track stock levels and ensure that demand forecasts are aligned with inventory availability· Proactively monitor inventory levels, alerting the team about potential stockouts or excess inventory based on forecasted demand· Help manage inventory flows to optimize product availability and reduce waste (especially for perishable goods)Cross-functional Coordination:·Collaborate with various internal departments, including procurement, sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure demand plans are aligned with business objectives and operational constraints· Attend regular meetings to review forecast performance and adjust strategies based on sales and market trends·Support the communication of demand planning activities, including upcoming product needs, forecast changes,and inventory adjustmentsReporting & Analysis:·Prepare and present regular reports on demand planning performance, including forecast accuracy, inventory levels, stockouts, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)·Analyze demand plan deviations, report on the reasons for discrepancies, and suggest corrective actions to improve forecasting accuracy· Use demand planning software and other tools to analyze trends, generate insights, and support decision-makingProcess Improvement:·Assist in identifying and implementing best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and streamline the demand planning process· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand forecasting and inventory management practices· Recommend and support the automation of processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortAd-hoc Support:·Provide ad-hoc support for special projects, including new product introductions, promotional campaigns, or changes in supply chain strategy·Handle urgent or complex demand
