The Air Traffic Management Research Institute (ATMRI) is the first institute in Singapore to be entirely dedicated to Air Traffic Management research. As a part of its agenda for innovation, it is seeking to recruit a Research Engineer to work on the AI-Assisted ATFM project, to deliver an operationally ready prototype of an AI enabled ATFM system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions.

  • Develop new features and infrastructure translating research idea or prototype into application/technology ready for deployment, while maintains high standards for code quality and application design.

  • Understand air traffic domain knowledge and operations, particularly air traffic flow management concepts and operations.

  • Interact with both researchers and stakeholders to gather requirements and propose appropriate technical architecture and implementation plan for the final product.

  • Learn/adopt new technologies (if required) for the project.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor / Master of Engineering in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience in software development, participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.

  • Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale

  • Work primarily in Java, React, and JavaScript, DBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), Python, C++

  • Experience in Blockchain Technology development is a plus.

  • Industrial or operational prior experience in air traffic services is a plus.
