ASM Global the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent opening for the Accounting Manager position at Coca-Cola Music Hall.

This position performs professional level accounting work in the maintenance and review of financial records. The position requires considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounting functions. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the general ledger, banking activities, bank reconciliations and fixed assets. This individual may be asked to assist with ad-hoc projects, preparing facility settlements, preparing budget reports, forecasts, business models, and a variety of other financial reports and general office support tasks when necessary.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare and record various journal entries.
  • Review, process and record banking activities (i.e. prepare deposits, record cash receipts and bank fees, etc.)
  • Supervise and provide guidance to accounting clerk.
  • Prepare monthly billings in accordance with facility management agreements, oversee and manage the A/R and collections process.
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and various financial reporting for select venues.
  • Preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Liaise with local representatives of various facilities to obtain timely and accurate financial information.
  • Work with outside auditors to complete the annual audit and issue audited financial statements.
  • Act as primary liaison between facility finance department and management.
  • Respond to customer, external and internal inquiries on a timely basis.
  • Prepare various reports and analyses for management.
  • Perform other accounting and general office duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of progressively increasing responsibility in a fast-paced accounting/finance department.
  • Experience in the facilities/arena management industry a major plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Certified Public Accounting license preferred but not required.

Requirements/Essential Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and ability to handle all aspects of the accounting cycle.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient with computers and MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • Experience with complex computer systems and financial accounting systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet very tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
