Position is responsible for reviewing and dispatching international departures for certain international airline accounts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and checks to ensure the right menus will be boarded on each flight.
  • Counts and reviews the meal count to ensure accuracy with final dispatch counts.
  • Ensures all support items and equipment is packed according to airline specification for each flight.
  • Reviews and ensures all customer requirements are followed and maintained at the highest level.
  • Ensures compliance with Quality Assurance, HACCP, documented airline requirements, and company procedures related to assigned flights.
  • Participates in flight deliveries to the ramp to assist cabin crew for flights as assigned, ensuring all items boarded per specification. This position is the last link between the company and the customer.
  • Provides feedback to Unit management on any problems related to the flight.
  • Completes associated IFBL as assigned.
  • Acts as a direct support and liaison with airline account management team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associates degree or degree from a 4 year university or college preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of food production or preparation experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of quality assurance or quality control experience preferred.
  • Experience working in the airline catering of food service industry highly preferred.

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

  • Valid Driver License required
  • ServSafe Certified preferred
  • Ability to obtain Customs Seal for Port Authority Airport Identification Card.
  • Strong customer service skills, dedication to excellence, and strong work ethic.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills required.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail skills required.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English required; bi-lingual Spanish preferred.

Work Environment / Requirements of the Job:

  • Employee will be required to work extended periods of time in chilled work environment and external weather conditions.
  • Regularly stands, walks, bends, lifts, and moves frequently during shift
  • There may be physical discomfort due to temperature and noise on the AOA and aircraft
  • Ability to lift, push, pull or maneuver 15-25 lbs.
