Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Mission Management Capability Integration Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
The selected engineer will perform as a member of an interdisciplinary team on a key effort to develop novel and innovative solutions to advanced technical problems. The successful engineer will contribute to the overall development of Electronic Warfare subsystems, including developing functional architectures, analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements. You will design, develop, build, and test EW systems in conjunction with key suppliers.
The Mission Management Capability Integration engineer in this role will be responsible for one or more of the following:
Software integration with simulation sensor models
Identifies fixes to code to support integration
Identifies adaptations to existing software to support native sensor interfaces
Development of test cases scripts and experiments
Development of test procedures, artifacts and results
Exercise virtual simulations and test cases with software-in-the-loop
Operate simulation applications to support virtual simulations with software-in-the-loop. This role is expected to
Support the Mission Systems IPT to test end-to-end system functionality.
Basic Qualifications:
Mission Management Capability Integration Engineer (T02):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Experience in software integration and test activities
Understanding of expected CSCI functionality and requirements
Software integration into a mission processing system
Experience in Software Development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the OMS/UCI message standard
Experience with Python scripting
Experience development, integration and debugging software in C/C++
Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
Experience in model-based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML tools
Experience in performance analysis using MATLAB and Excel or similar tools
Familiarity with the AFSIM simulation application
Familiarity with plugin development
Familiarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)
