The Senior Product Manager for Aetna Medicaid is responsible for product management leadership for one or more digital product domains supporting Medicaid members and providers. This individual contributor role owns and defines the product vision and strategy, roadmap, feature delivery, and overall success of the product to enable a best-in-class end-to-end experience for Medicaid populations.

You will manage a backlog of features and enablers to enhance the product and extend its architectural and discovery runway. You are accountable for overall product health, inclusive of technical health, and risk communication. You will provide guidance on sequencing and prioritizing investments to optimize value and ensure compliance with CMS and state Medicaid requirements.

This role partners closely with the Business General Manager, Design, Engineering, and Data/Analytics forming the ‘Five in a Box’ cross-discipline product team. You will also serve as the main point-of-contact with other stakeholders such as architects, tech-ops, security, and compliance to ensure overall cohesion for your product or experience.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries

  • Proven ability to deliver digital products at scale with measurable outcomes

  • Strong understanding of CMS and state Medicaid requirements and ability to translate them into product features

  • Experience with Agile frameworks (Safe) and backlog management (Rally)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to tell a story by understanding the problem, prioritizing value and leading an empowered team

  • Demonstrated collaboration and empathy amongst Product, Design, Engineering, Business GM and End User’s to conduct Discovery and Framing and build an MVP from 0-1, to a Most Marketable Product (with Outcomes and Value)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Medicaid operations (UM/CM), provider portals, or member engagement solutions

  • Familiarity with FHIR APIs, EDI transactions (834/835/837), and prior authorization workflows

  • Exposure to accessibility standards (WCAG) and health equity initiatives

  • Agile certification (CSPO, SAFe) or PMP

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
