About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Corporate Sustainability team to drive forward our sustainability impact reporting and research activity.

As the Senior Manager, Sustainability Impact Reporting & Insights you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we report on our progress and impacts. You will be the champion of best practice, in an ever-changing landscape, with an ability to communicate and influence change with stakeholders at all levels.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Global Head of Corporate Sustainability and become part of a dynamic and increasingly important aspect of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading delivery of our sustainability impact reporting approach.
  • Analysis and insights into best practice on social and environmental impact reporting, with a close eye on changes in the macro environment for sustainability.
  • Accountable for the provision of data and articulation of our priorities for relevant sections of the annual report and accounts.
  • Drive our sustainability reporting strategy– owning strategic sustainability reports, and interact with finance team to support on regulatory reporting where needed.
  • Engage with other parts of the business on how we manage our sustainability risks and opportunities as appropriate.
  • Strategic review of indices and develop insight and data to inform approaches as well as oversight of individual input and responses.
  • Drive best practice in line with changing landscape – building out the Group sustainability strategy and working with our businesses and functions in an advisory capacity as appropriate.
  • Prepare management and board reports as appropriate.
  • Produce creative communications to engage and educate stakeholders and enhance the reputation of abrdn.

Key requirements:

  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written. Able to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to varied audiences.
  • Project management skills an advantage - experience of successfully overseeing and managing change.
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work under own initiative with minimal intervention and supervision.
  • Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Experience delivering impactful sustainability reporting and communications an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory landscape for non-financial reporting.
  • Experience of sustainability indices, reporting and working with investor analysts an advantage.
