The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an Integrated Topside Design (ITD) Engineer to perform a variety of design and engineering functions in support of ITD for Navy platforms related to Aircraft Carriers (CVNs), Amphibious Vessels (LHAs), Mine Warfare,Command, and Auxiliary ships. The ITD Engineering role is a unique career opportunity to be part of and/or leading a design team comprised of naval architects, structural engineers, and designers who provide wholistic design solutions forUSN and USCG ships. This is primarily an on-site position located at CACI's Washington, DC office and client site offices(Washington Navy Yard and NSWC-Carderock), with occasional hybrid work based on customer requirements. Customers include NAVSEA, NSWC, MSC, and USCG.

Responsibilities:
• Develop ITD studies and analysis for government customers.
• Document methods, assumptions, and results in technical reports and presentations to government customers.
• Provide engineering support, coordination, and engagement with Planning Yard, Navy Technical SMEs, ISEAs and other stakeholders to support topside design recommendations.
• Provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to obtain technical authority concurrence for design recommendations.
• Coordinate working group meetings and In Progress Reviews (IPRs) with various stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues.


Required:
• Bachelor's of Science degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science , Physics, Mathematics or comparable Combat Systems related field.
• Knowledge or understanding of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) and spectrum issues that impact topside design, to include: Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Electromagnetic Vulnerability (EMV), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP), Radiation Hazards (RADHAZ).
• Knowledge or understanding Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), specifically full-wave methods, asymptotic methods, and/or hybrid methods.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to speak and write clearly in English.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Secret Security clearance.

Desired:

  • Experience working with U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard surface ship ITD or C5ISR equipment integration teams.

  • Experience working with NAVSEA 05W43 Technical Warrant Holder (TWH) and/or NSWCDD Code Q50.

  • Experience with U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and/or U.S. commercial ship design standards.

  • Experience reading and creating drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD soft ware.

  • Experience leading small Integrated Product Teams (IPT).

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$57,500-$117,900
