System Integration and Performance Architect

Description -

Position Overview: We are looking for a highly experienced architect with a strong background in system integration. The main responsibility of this role is to define system-level thermal, mechanical, power and commodity solutions and integrate them into industry-leading workstation platforms. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, thermal management and performance of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Level Performance Tuning:

    • Analyze system-level performance data to identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies.

    • Continuously refine designs based on testing results and performance metrics, ensuring that our system design supports overall system performance objectives.

    • Define performance tuning strategy and influence system architecture definition to deliver a desktop workstation portfolio for top notch performance.

  • Power Integration:

    • Work closely with electrical engineers to integrate power systems and ensure efficient power delivery and management.

    • Address power dissipation challenges through innovative design approaches.

    • Collaborate on power budgeting and optimization to achieve system-level performance goals.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • System Thermal Management:

    • Optimize cooling solutions, including airflow management, heat sinks, and thermal interface materials to support power demanding critical components which are critical for our industry leadership in performance.

    • Develop and implement mechanical design and thermal management solutions to ensure optimal system reliability.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate commodity solutions with electronic systems effectively with innovative and cost-effective mechanical designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware design and development for computer systems.

  • Strong expertise in thermal and power integration, including experience with thermal simulations, cooling solutions, and power management.

  • Solid understanding of system-level performance optimization and problem-solving techniques.

  • Experience in commodity integration, including the ability to balance cost and performance of components.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to computer hardware.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in computer system design.
