Are you ready to use your years of experience to play a key role at Vector Pipeline at our Livonia, Michigan office? We are looking for our next Manager / Director of Regulatory, Accounting and Financial Reporting (depending on experience) to join our team!

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and actual vs budget results.

    · Prepare short and long-range budget and financial forecasts.

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen reporting and internal controls.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements

  • Oversee annual financial GAAP and FERC audits.

  • Prepare and recommend cash distributions and cash calls to senior management.

  • Work closely with management and other team members to share reports and analysis findings.

  • Forecast cash requirements and execute financing decisions by raising capital and short-term investments while ensuring debt covenant compliance.

  • Maintain service provider relations including property tax services.

  • Periodically review and update credit risk model to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.

  • Monitor and report on customer credit risk and maintain collateral requirements.

  • Design and maintain financial models for decision-making, forecasting, and regulatory reporting compliance.

  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, models, and their outputs.

  • Providing strategic recommendations based on financial modeling outcomes.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling to construct, modify and oversee modeling tools.

  • Collaborating with other departments to gather data and validate assumptions used in financial and credit models.

Who You Are:

  • A bachelor’s or graduate degree in accounting or finance

  • Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager/Director or similar role

  • Solid experience in audit activities, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, budget development and analysis, customer credit review, debt financing and investments, and general ledger.

  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Oracle)

  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.

  • Strong organizational skills and self-starter

  • Excellent communication and people skills

  • Natural Gas / Energy experience and CPA is strongly recommended.

  • Must have valid U.S. Passport and driver’s license.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Mobility to walk in outdoor conditions that occasionally involve uneven and slippery terrain and to enter and exit excavations. Agility with the ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and other devices using feet and legs, and/or hands and arms.
