This role is integral to the expansion of Epic functionality into the Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute (HVTI) and Radiology. As a Radiant/Cupid Lead Systems Analyst, you will manage and lead automated system projects through all phases of the system development life cycle, including the design, development, implementation, modification, planning, estimating, feasibility testing, and evaluation of automated systems. Lead Systems Analysts are vital in maintaining the ongoing service relationship between the IT department and its direct application customers while also acting as a liaison to other departments and entities. This role will be responsible for 

  • Providing input to the manager concerning software evaluations.  

  • Managing routine support efforts, including balancing team assignments, as well as coaching and giving ongoing caregiver performance reviews.  

  • Supporting the continuous process of optimizing department resources.  

  • Providing best solutions to identified needs, meeting operational and business objectives, technology capabilities, and human resource requirements.  

  • Providing after-hours support.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads IT projects, including planning, obtaining customer input and projecting resource requirements.
  • Reviews system requirements with customers and translates requirements into specific functions or deliverables.
  • Analyzes flow chart processes and recommends ways to reduce steps and increase efficiency through use of technology.
  • Plans, schedules and manages multiple projects requiring computer resources including project scheduling.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Health Sciences, Healthcare Admin or related field.

Certifications:

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.

Complexity of Work:

  • Understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
  • Understands principles of client/server configuration.
  • Excellent knowledge of messaging technology and project management skills.

Work Experience:

  • 6 years of system implementation experience, including directing, planning and scheduling a major information system project.
  • Strong analytical, administrative, presentation, and project management skills are required.
  • Must have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work independently.
  • Offset: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent and 9 years of experience.
  • Offset: Associates Degree and 7 years of experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. 
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 20 lbs.
