As an LNG Operations Technician I/II/III, you will be responsible for operating the facility in various modes, including holding (boiling off gas), liquefaction, and vaporization processes. You will independently lead all utility and emergency systems within the facility. This role involves completing complex technical assignments with limited oversight. Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Operates all aspects of the Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facility, including vaporization, liquefaction, and boiling off gas systems
  • Maintains facility equipment and supports pipeline operations, ensuring compliance with technical standards and governmental requirements
  • Reads and interprets drawings, process flow diagrams, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Interprets electrical drawings and uses them to troubleshoot and resolve simple to moderate faults within program guidelines
  • Solves operational, mechanical, and control system faults and troubleshoots electrical issues using diagrams
  • Trains, coaches, and mentors junior operations technicians on operations, maintenance, security, and emergency tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years related experience in natural gas industry experience or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and technical licenses/certificates

Other Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License from the state in which you live and a clear driving record
  • Must be able to pass an LNG pre-employment physical as required by federal law
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills. Must stay apprised of and abide by all company policies

Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:

  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
  • May be required to work overtime, 10–12-hour shifts, extended hours, and travel between William's locations with occasional overnight stays
