Responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team as they deliver technology solutions. Develops solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices. Ensures the systems design and requirements are aligned to achieve the desired business outcomes, and that team practices and coding/quality principles are aligned to achieve the desired technology outcomes. They have built significant experience through multiple software implementations and has developed both depth and breadth in several technical competencies.

Designs and develops and is accountable for feature delivery. Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality. Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt. Responsible for compliance and security items and audit support at the team level. Acts as a liaison for production activities/issues. Works with Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria. Guides the team on work breakdown and execution.

Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team. Guides team members with skills and practices (planning & estimation, peer reviews and other engineering practices). Identifies skill and role gaps, and works with Technology Manager to address them. Works with Technology Manager in creating resource contingency plans where required. Individual contributor.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data about the application in AppHQ and other systems of record
  • Complete administrative and non-technical tasks related to compliance deliverables (access reviews, assessments, questionnaires, procedural requirements) and infrastructure requests for the applications they support
  • Support vendors, development teams and technology managers to ensure technical security, risk, and other compliance activities are completed on-time and per requirements
  • Partner closely with control functions, risk management and Global Information Security (GIS) to ensure risk, security, and other compliance deliverables are completed on time and per requirements
  • Be familiar with the applicable policies, standards, LRRs, contacts and procedures so that the compliance deliverables are completed effectively and efficiently
  • Track and support the remediation of non-permitted technology and security vulnerabilities
  • Track and support technical recovery planning
  • Complete and track Identity Access Management (IAM) deliverables
  • Assist with ad-hoc inquiries, questions and support for the application

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience within the financial service or regulatory industries
  • Comfortable operating in a technology driven and spoken environment
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment managing shifting priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with JIRA Issue & Project Tracking Software
  • Understands stakeholder expectations and creates regular updates to keep stakeholders informed
  • Possesses knowledge of prior solutions to existing problems and applies them to solve similar problems
  • Has knowledge of software development but has not necessarily been involved in hands-on application development/coding
  • Ability to facilitate team planning ceremonies against backlog/prioritized work
  • Manages risk/dependencies/impediments for one team
  • Familiarity with WorkFusion technology leveraging Advanced Machine Learning and NLP (Natural Language Processing) capabilities to facilitate Smart Process Automation of business processes
