Job Description Summary:

Business Operations Specialist position within the Central Business Services for the University of Kansas Medical Center. The specialist will have responsibilities supporting the operational business units for the institution. This position is responsible for administrative support of vendor management, ordering office supplies, scheduling of meetings/events, providing logistics for special events/meetings, and assisting with special projects.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a point of contact for vendor management, creating vendor/supplier accounts and procurement contract requests as needed.

  •  Purchases and maintains adequate stock of office supplies for the department and assist other administrative duties.

  • Scheduling of meeting/events and managing calendars.

  • Coordinate event logistics for areas we support.

  • Assisting with processing of invoices and purchase orders.

  • resolve billing and payment disputes with vendors in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree in a related field. Education may b e substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Work Experience: Minimum three (3) years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience: Minimum five (5) years of related experience

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
