Job Description:

DXC’s growing and industry leading Insurance Business is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our global reinsurance customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex software systems using Java, AWS, Jenkins, Docker, Redis, and Spring Boot technologies.
  • Define technical requirements, architecture, and design patterns to meet business objectives and scalability goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, technologies, and frameworks to optimize software development processes and enhance system performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in best practices, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and Docker to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Design and implement microservices architectures leveraging Spring Boot and AWS cloud services for improved scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Adhere to agile development processes, including the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), by participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and contribute to the refinement of user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical debt management.
  • Conduct performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure the efficiency and stability of software applications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and incorporate them into architectural designs and development processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role, with a strong background in software development and architecture.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Java programming language and Spring Boot framework.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Fargate, ECS).
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English as a business language
  • AWS certification(s) (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus
