Fire Compliance Manager  

Remote Nationwide

Permanent - Fulltime

Salary up to £ 49,350.00 including car + great benefits.

We are open to meeting candidates from all locations as this is a remote-based role with travel. Are you an experienced Fire Compliance Manager looking to join a nationwide business? If so, we want to hear from you, as we are looking to recruit an experienced and qualified candidate to join our dedicated team.

About the role

You would ensure that our fire compliance with UK regulatory requirements and internal policies is always met across the FM business. Assist the Regional Director in setting up and managing a fire compliance delivery to ensure that relevant legislative requirements are met.

Conducting Surveys and inspections, including Fire protection assets ensuring that ALL fire related installations, equipment and assets are compliant to relevant Fire Industry Standards, Approved Code of Practice and in line with statutory requirements and Mears Fire Procedures and Policies.

Working with 3rd party accreditation to ensure Mears Group achieve and maintain Fire relevant accreditation.

To ensure completion of the surveys and inspection are confirmed and a comprehensive and accurate history is available for Compliance and Audit purposes, including Quality, H&S, and Commercial.

Highlight any safeguarding concerns to the relevant Manager and Regional Director as early as possible to ensure they liaise with the client where required.

Support and participate in the continuous improvement of the Fire Compliance function within the business.

Role Criteria:

  • Experience in managing a Fire Compliance operation
  • Established experience in fire safety.
  • We are looking for a Fire Compliance manager with a recognised qualification in fire safety (NEBOSH, FDIS, NVQ etc) or considerable firefighting knowledge.
  • FDIS certified, IFE fire risk assessor qualified or suitable experience.
  • Level 3 Qualification in Fire Door inspection.
  • Must be IT literate with a sound working knowledge of all Fire and Health and Safety legislation possessing a thorough attention to the importance of Life Protection systems.
  • The ability to communicate on a one-to-one basis and produce information in a written form, including completion of all necessary reports and work documentation.
  • The ability to analyse given test results, ensuring accuracy.
  • Full, current UK driving licence,
