JOB OVERVIEW

Supports EMEA Finance Controller and EMEA, SVP Finance with financial processes and reporting requirements at a regional level. This role is responsible for driving EMEA Cashflow processes working close to local offices and reporting results to Corporate with an effective and efficient mindset involving leading process improvements via automations as well as taking responsibility in key revenue recognition processes. This role has managerial responsibilities over 1 FTE based in Greece (Sr Financial Analyst).

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can demonstrate expertise in working with global teams with different backgrounds and cultures. He/she will initiate and/or support efforts to improve cashflow results and related processes by performing detailed transaction analysis, preparing reporting documentation to Senior Leadership and leads automation initiatives to meet the needs of a highly complex and diverse working group across multiple businesses and functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for driving EMEA Cashflow processes, preparing reporting documentation and leading process improvements including Past Dues, Bad debt provision, unbilled and deferred reviews

  • Partners with regional senior management as well as various EMEA stakeholder groups in projects or reviews such as onboarding IQVIA in strategic programs, creation of enhanced procedural frameworks or coordination of EMEA-wide new processes

  • Drive cashflow optimization initiatives and partner with the local EMEA finance teams and the Global Financial Shared Services team to improve DSO

  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis for customized data and reports in a knowledgeable and flexible manner to aid in business decisions

  • Translate company cashflow objectives into country/cluster-specific DSO and past due targets, and monitor performance

  • Supports EMEA Financial Controller in activities ensuring EMEA internal controls compliance

  • Supports EMEA finance leadership team in other key activities such as Corporate Operating Review preparation or Leadership Reviews

  • Provides US GAAP and internal IQVIA policies guidance to EMEA geographies as needed

  • Drives specific EMEA Revenue Recognition process for designated legal entity

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with minimum 7-9 years’ of progressively responsible experience in a finance function

  • Extensive knowledge of both US and International accounting standards, internal controls best practice and SOX compliance.

  • Knowledge of financial systems, including ERP applications and reporting suites such as SAP and Hyperion.

  • Proven track record of results working with senior management in a consultative business approach.

  • Ability to influence outcomes.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented including decision making, time management, and task prioritization

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and can make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills and proven ability to work with global finance teams. 

  • Ability to communicate with senior level management team and local finance executives

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

  • Advanced excel proficiency required due to existing reporting needs.

  • Prior management experience required.
