About the role
What you need to know:
- Support the Head of Multinational, EMEA through active participation and contribution to the leadership and direction of AIG EMEA’s multinational business.
- Work with AIG GCC & North Africa leadership & stakeholders to foster alignment, integration, & execution of agreed Multinational business model(s), segmented multinational Value Proposition & supporting service.
- Drive the multinational vision, value proposition and execution of the multinational strategic plan across the full spectrum of general insurance products throughout GCC & North Africa, ensuring expert design and management of multinational programs and world class service to our multinational clients and broker partners.
- Assist in the execution of the profitable growth of the multinational portfolio including pipeline management and development & execution of specific multinational sales, marketing and communications strategies in conjunction with Product heads, Client & Broker Engagement colleagues, and cluster/country leads.
- Act as Multinational deal architect advising on programme design, providing strong Multinational subject matter expertise.
- Oversee the integration and optimisation of AIG’s Network (Owned & Partnered) and lead implementation across GCC & North Africa in alignment with agreed deliverables.
- Partner with all relevant stakeholders to plan, prioritize and execute agreed AIG Network Optimisation plans (ie: Together We Grow – Inwards Reinsurance initiative) in direct alignment with Product appetite, market opportunity, partner capabilities and regional growth strategies.
- Lead change in behaviour and practice across GCC & North Africa MN to manage MN PO & IO business/service on an end to end (E2E) basis, leveraging all AIG MN/Network capabilities, resources and reports.
- Deliver on all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on expense management, customer service, and profitability across the AIG GCC & North Africa multinational portfolio (Produced & Issued).
- Lead the adoption & execution of the multinational business model (including End To End Processes) and promotion of the segmented multinational Value Proposition(s) both internally across the GCC & North Africa multinational community and with clients and broker partners to deliver a globally consistent client experience and contract certainty.
- Work with claims to ensure multinational claims are handled in a proactive manner ensuring claims stands out as a competitive differential for AIG.
- Create a risk-aware culture of integrity and accountability to ensure full awareness and compliance of AIG policies and procedures, ethical behaviours and practices, and ownership of risks in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Oversee and lead management of the team of multinational staff in/across GCC & North Africa.
- Foster an environment where employees can grow and maximize their talent including appropriate training, career development, and succession planning. Evaluate staff knowledge, skill gaps, training needs, and career development and deliver plans to address these needs ensuring continuous knowledge improvement and staff advancement.
- Support the development, communication and execution of global Multinational Strategies, initiatives and plans and own agreed deliverables for GCC & North Africa Multinational. Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to address critical end-to-end business and operating model challenges related to structure, business process, underwriting, service pricing models, and claims.
- Represent AIG Multinational as a visible and recognized thought and industry leader. Internally, be an expert on multinational business including program design, structuring, regulation, and the Multinational end-to-end process. Externally, develop relationships with key GCC & North Africa Multinational clients and broker partners, and participate at insurance related events including panels, leading workshops, speaking engagements, etc. This includes production of thought leadership articles and white papers.
What we’re looking for:
- Insurance experience in positions of increasing authority, including significant experience handling large client relationships.
- Strong and deep multinational knowledge.
- Inspiring leader able to attract, engage, retain, and develop a high performing team to meet current and future business needs.
- Knowledge of multinational business across multiple lines of business in multiple markets.
- Experience in management of Network Partnerships.
- Proven successful management of complex, multi-stakeholder team(s).
- Excellent influencing and communications skills with senior level managers and externally with key clients and broker partners.
- Demonstrated change agent able to identify and implement operational and process improvements.
