Position Summary
Experienced level billing position primarily focused on generating accurate customer invoices by required deadlines. Billing Seniors will assist with report review making updates to ensure transactions are billing properly and be required to act as a resource for general staff questions regarding workflow. Will be required to perform final review and complete statement generation based on individual customer deadlines. Will be asked to assist management with escalated concerns, special projects, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review reports and transactions prior to generating invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Research and document customer disputes, responding to all inquiries within the expected timeframe.
  • Handle escalated concerns as needed.
  • Assist staff with daily workflow questions.
  • Assist on-boarding and training of new and existing staff. Provide management with progress reports of employees. 
  • Communicate with Business Office Managers, Directors of Nursing and/or Administrators at the long term care facilities as needed.
  • Timely verification and entry of customer information.
  • Meet all billing deadlines designated by customer expectations and contractual agreements.
  • Communicate ongoing problems/concerns related to report review or customer concerns to Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records concerning patient billing activity / communication on all accounts.
  • Work and partner with other internal and external departments to resolve issues.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

  • Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected.
  • Other duties as assigned. 



Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of pharmacy billing experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in an office setting


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of insurance procedures
  • Effective multitasking
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills
  • Intermediate computer and typing skills
  • Prior experience in a Lead role
  • Prior knowledge of Omnicare’s Billing Customer service procedures
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Prescription third party claims management experience


Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $35.29

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
