The Applications Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing product engineering activities with a focus on adapting existing products to meet customer applications while maintaining design integrity, functionality, and compliance with engineering standards. This role also ensures timely delivery of prototypes and validation testing, while safeguarding customer satisfaction and product performance. This role leads and develops a multidisciplinary team within the Applications Engineering group—including Applications Engineers, Product Designers, Life Test Technicians, and Prototype Technicians—and collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and technical centers. Additionally, contributes to strategic planning and execution within the engineering function and broader plant operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as the technical liaison for customers regarding emissions system components and systems
• Provide mentorship to the Application Engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Ensure the team delivers comprehensive engineering and commercial support throughout the product lifecycle
• Develop and execute project timelines and budgets
• Forecast and allocate work activities for team members to ensure resource optimization
• Oversee program activities related to product design release, production launch, prototypes and testing
• Promote collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to drive project success
• Prepare and deliver impactful technical presentations to internal and external audiences
• Guide the development or adaptation of product designs using internal standards, simulations, testing, and customer input
• Coordinate the planning and production of prototype samples and associated cost estimates
• Guide problem-solving activities using strong analytical and project management skills
• Provide technical support to manufacturing for design changes, upgrades, or cost-reduction initiatives
• Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures
• Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and practices
• Facilitate employee involvement in safety initiatives and continuous improvement
• Conduct timely incident investigations and implement corrective actions as required
• Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and track safety issues to resolution
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

        

Required EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• Available to travel 1-2 days per month, with minimal notification

Preferred EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Master’s degree in engineering or business related field
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience
• Working knowledge of electronic components and systems

Annual Salary Range: $ 100,000 - $137,500
