AppLovin is seeking a People Operations Manager who is both a strategic leader and a hands-on operator, ready to drive and refine our People Operations function with a strong commitment to operational excellence. In this role, you will actively shape and scale key processes, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and adaptable to our business growth. As a coach and mentor to a team of analysts, you’ll set the standard for best practices, foster a collaborative culture, and work alongside the team to create a seamless and impactful employee experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hands-On Process Leadership: Own day-to-day operations of People processes, setting the standard for efficiency and accuracy by working alongside your team to implement best practices across the employee lifecycle.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Actively shape and enhance core People Operations processes, including onboarding, compliance, policy management, and offboarding, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our culture.
- Coach and Develop Your Team: Mentor a team of People Operations Analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-accountability environment while building each team member’s capabilities in process management, data integrity, and employee experience.
- Ensure Compliance and Minimize Risk: Take ownership of regulatory compliance, including managing required filings (e.g., EEO-1), maintaining robust policies, and proactively identifying and mitigating areas of risk.
- Document and Optimize Processes: Develop and maintain process documentation that ensures consistency and clarity, allowing the team to work efficiently and autonomously as we grow.
- Oversee HRIS Integrity and Efficiency: Manage and maintain data integrity within our HRIS (Workday or equivalent), ensuring accurate data across HCM, Compensation, Performance, and Time Tracking modules.
- Collaborate to Drive People-Centric Solutions: Partner cross-functionally to create seamless People processes that align with the needs of other departments, maximizing shared resources and strengthening our culture.
- Introduce Innovative Solutions: Lead the development and implementation of new programs, processes, and initiatives that enhance the employee experience and elevate operational efficiency as our organization grows.
Your background and who you are:
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations or a related HR function, ideally within high-growth, fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams using a hands-on, coaching approach
- Experience with Workday (or similar HRIS systems), with knowledge in HCM, Compensation, Performance, and Time Tracking modules preferred
- Strong project management skills and a history of leading cross-functional initiatives
- Skilled in designing scalable People processes that balance compliance and employee experience
- Data-driven mindset with experience performing complex reporting and analysis; adept at working with data in Google Sheets or Excel to solve challenges and inform decisions
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization, fostering trust and collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
