Position: Software Engineer III
Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Collaborate with stakeholders to support member-centric initiatives that impact millions of members across the nation who use the platform as their one-stop-shop for their needs. Work with product and business teams to set and monitor objectives, address areas for improvement with a constant drive to enhance continuous learning and deliver a top-notch member experience. Develop and deploy applications and features using coding expertise in various standards, languages, frameworks, tools, platforms, quality/security protocols, emerging technologies, and telemetry. Deliver solutions in real-time without compromising company policies and ethical standards through meticulous planning and brainstorming to develop highly backward and future-compatible solutions. Translate requirements into technical solutions to solve business problems efficiently and optimize routine tasks in CI/CD through aggressive testing and security processes. Address all edge cases with the help of intensive testing, improvement of test cases, and proactive environment tests to ensure no room for member dissatisfaction during their customer center experience. Debug and troubleshoot production issues using live tools to report, monitor, and maintain the system while possessing detailed domain knowledge. Analyze the root cause of every issue to prevent errors or other problems in the future. Conduct peer mentoring, provide constructive feedback, and participate in knowledge transfer sessions.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
Skills required: Experience designing and implementing REST API web services using JAVA. Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language. Experience designing and managing database systems including SQL, MySQL, PL/SQL, NoSQL, Mongo, and Cosmos. Experience with Advanced Cloud and DevOps Systems including Microsoft Azure. Experience with Back End Web Technologies including Spring and Hibernate. Experience implementing CI/CD Pipelines including Jenkins, Terraform, and Concord. Experience with Front End Web Technologies including React, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. Experience with Mobile App Development for iOS and Android. Experience testing code using Mockito, JUnit, and Spring Test. Experience with Application Security and Session Management OAUTH. Experience debugging and troubleshooting using Grafana and Splunk. Experience using Version Control and Command Line Interface including GitHub, Git, Shell, Bash, and UNIX/Linux. Experience using IDEs including IntelliJ, Eclipse, and Visual Studio Code. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
