WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Lead Merchant Kids Apparel for EMEA Value Stores. In this role you are part of the Merchandising organization specifically focused on our Factory (Value) stores portfolio. You will be part of a team of Merchants that are focused on optimizing seasonal assortments, obsess how a product comes to life, manage in-season business results, and help liquidate inventory in the best, most profitable way possible. Passionate about products and consumers. You are an experienced Merchant and able to spearhead Merchandising strategy projects next to the day-to-day merch responsibilities of building successful assortments through careful analysis of data and insights. As a Lead Merchant you will be one of the most senior merchants in the Value Merch team and will inspire the Junior Merchants to become best in class Merchants.
 

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with a team of merchants to deliver consumer right assortments for the full fleet of NVS stores. It is your job to lead seasonal consumer right, distinctive product assortments against key merchandising principles, managing SKUs, price architecture, flow, and color. Lead and inform product decisions to cross-functional teams such as Retail Brand, Planning and Allocation, and online platforms teams, to ensure a flawless consumer journey. The role combines upstream and downstream Merchandising.
 

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

  • Collaborate with Value Global Merchandising team to make sure we get the right assortment for the EMEA Market by proving consumer insights and making sure these insights are aligned to the EMEA Consumer Strategy (Upstream Merchandising)
  • Closely partner with Value teams across Business Planning, Assortment Planning, Allocation, Liquidation and Retail Marketing, all located within the European Headquarters, as well as our Retail partners working on our fleet in Territory to land the in-season strategy/assortment (Downstream Merchandising)
  • Close partnership with Nike Direct inline business, Consumer Construct Merchandising, as well as 3rd party vendors.
  • Tight collaboration with Sales and Inventory Planning teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience in retail Buying Merchandising or (assortment) Planning, and able to spearhead Merchandising strategy projects next to the day-to-day merch responsibilities
  • Flexible and positive mindset and ability - to combine and prioritize competing upstream & downstream activities and adjust plans to new realities
  • Strong experience working with the European consumer and European marketplace, with a good understanding of the product process
  • Strong team player and ability to work with peers, cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business within a complex matrix organizational set-up
  • You have a problem solving and self-starter attitude
  • Effectively communicate and influence others
  • Strong Presentation skills with Inspirational storytelling
