Job Description:

The Senior Operations Support Specialist has the task to own/investigate quality incidents (process and contamination) across the different business units.

You will be a member of the Operations Support team, a diverse team investigating quality incidents in the different production units.

Working in partnership with multifunctional groups and collaboration with the business across departments is a crucial aspect to this role.

An analytical and hands-on personality, passionate about finding the root cause of a problem is key.

Experience in conducting and documenting quality incident investigations is highly valued.

Your responsibilities:

• Starts quality investigations (non-conformances) after notification from the operational department.
• Leads, manages and investigates multiple quality incidents at the same time.
• Performs root cause analysis and impact assessment, by applying the required methodologies during the quality investigations
• Defines corrective and/or preventive action plans & Assigns required action owners
• Brings together experts and facilitates alignment on scope, impact, timing and priorities (batch release and investigation), potential root causes, and CAPA plans.
• Informs the necessary stakeholders and escalates if needed to (senior) leadership team
• Is aware of, or accumulates knowledge on plant specific activities and applicable procedures
• Documents the investigation in the Quality Management System, which is reviewed and approved by a quality leader.
• Performs analyses of quality incident investigations during a certain period of time (typically a year) to detect any trends and initiate any relevant corrective actions.
• Spokesperson during audits to explain specific incident investigations

Qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor's (with relevant years of experience) or master’s degree preferably in Chemical Engineering or Process technology (bioengineering, industrial engineering or chemistry), or consistent track record in an industrial, operational environment.
• Analytical and passionate about finding the root cause of an incident is required.
• Critical thinking when defining SMART corrective/preventive actions
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to lead a multi-functional team during a complex quality investigation
• A comprehensive understanding of Quality & Compliance is an advantage
• Being able to work structured and set priorities is required.
• Experience in conducting and documenting incident investigations is highly valued.
• Hands-on mentality and affinity for chemical manufacturing is a plus
• Experience in working in a chemical batch plant is highly valued.
• Is able to built-up and maintain a network within and outside the company to be able to involve different experts.
• Fluently speaking and reading Dutch
