What success looks like in this role:
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of AWS cloud solutions that align to client outcomes, industry best practices, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency.
Own end-to-end solution architecture for cloud migration, modernization, and cloud-native implementations, covering discovery, requirements, design, estimations, and executive-level solution presentations.
Translate business goals into actionable architecture decisions and roadmaps; identify additional value opportunities (optimization, modernization, automation) and articulate benefits clearly to stakeholders.
Define target-state cloud architectures across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including connectivity/integration patterns between AWS and on-premises platforms.
Establish automation-first delivery patterns using Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices to enable repeatable, governed, and scalable implementations.
Drive cloud security architecture, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations; design security controls across IAM, network security, encryption, logging/auditing, and continuous control validation.
Provide cost governance and optimization thought leadership, including cost estimation, right-sizing strategies, and designing cost-effective architectures.
Partner with enterprise architects, cloud engineering, delivery teams, and innovation stakeholders to govern technical decisions, ensure solution quality, and accelerate delivery.
Lead workshops, architecture reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions; mentor architects/engineers and set technical standards and best practices.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and assess applicability to client use cases, including innovative services and delivery accelerators.
