Department Overview

This Scheduler post is required to support the team whilst a scheduler is on maternity leave. This will ensure our BAU activities can continue and operational targets are met.

There are currently 8 schedulers supporting the 7 regions and national projects. Each scheduler within the team supports up to 13 engineers, on average programming 13 tasks per day, including faults, planned works, project work, and RFC’s.


Job Description

Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract role.

This role is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days a week out of our Rugby offices.

To provide the Field Services team with critical, operational scheduling, support and advise of process efficiency.

This support is central to Airwave’s legislative compliance in relation to structural inspections, electrical inspections, PPMI compliance. The role is also critical in reactive fault scheduling and tasking to maintain service.

Principal Duties/Key Accountabilities:

  • Providing the Field Services team with critical operational support.
  • Raising Fissara tasks and updating Remedy cases.
  • Updating Fissara site data base.
  • Receipt and processing of customers briefs, supporting RFC's into the change team.
  • Requesting PO’s to be raised/receipted on the finance system, SAP.
  • Support supplier and Finance team with PO and account queries.
  • Liaising with the relevant budget holder to ensure the correct raising and receipting of PO’s.
  • Proactive planning, scheduling and reactive tasking of all field engineering tasks into Fissara to ensure maintenance inspection regimes remain legally compliant. Tasking of Engineers to ensure
  • service is maintained through efficient reactive scheduling by;
  • Individuals tasked / scheduled hold the right skills for the required task
  • Reference to skills and training matrix.
  • Understanding the technical requirements through knowledge and experience.
  • Liaise with service managers and Field Engineers to clarify ambiguous information within the skills or training matrix.
  • Docman Management.
  • Maintain data and files as instructed
  • Liaising with supplier’s contractors and external agencies;
  • MMX logistics supplier.
  • External rigging suppliers.
  • Site providers and land owners.
  • Network provider or agents.
  • Support the senior management team.
  • Provide any reporting or information ref to finance, Scheduling.


Basic Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed:

  • Fully conversant with Microsoft applications (Office, Word, Excel), and Google suite (Mail, GDrive, Sheets)
  • Conversant in written English.
  • Fully conversant in English language.
  • Ability to plan ahead covering a wide range of tasks against skills available.

Relevant Experience/Training:

  • 1-2 Years of similar role desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Remedy / data base application
