Position Highlights:

  • Position: Customer Service Associate Physician Billing
  • Location: Warrenville, IL
  • Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, standard business hours

What you will do:

  • Answers patient telephone calls, emails/messages and resolves issues as appropriate (e.g., resubmits claims, updates insurance information, patient demographics and provides itemized billing information as requested.  Forwards difficult and/or sensitive questions or complaints to the appropriate personnel/supervisor when necessary.
  • Provides patients with information related to the processing of insurance claims, current balance and sets up payment arrangements per protocol.  
  • Communicates professionally with insurance companies, patients, primary care physicians, specialists and/or facilities regarding billing information.  
  • Documents all call information in Epic.
  • Mails/faxes billing information to patient, insurance companies, attorneys’ offices as requested.
  • Sorts/distributes incoming faxes to appropriate staff.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information in all situations.
  • Performs other related duties as needed in order to support the achievement of department goals and objectives.

What you will need:

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience: Minimum one year of physician office or physician billing experience
