Thomson Reuters is seeking an experienced Editorial Operations Assistant to join its administrative team in Gdansk, Poland. This role requires exemplary organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and handle critical time sensitive requests. The successful candidate will be highly organized and flexible, an expert in the preparation and management of spreadsheets and responsive to the needs of a busy and growing newsroom.

As an Editorial Operations Assistant at Thomson Reuters, you will play an important role supporting one of the biggest Reuters bureaus, responsible for providing critical financial information from over 20 European countries. You will work in fast-paced, international environment, along side news reporters focused on providing real-time coverage for companies from Europe’s biggest economies. Trading desks, hedge funds and asset managers at major multinational banks use subscription-based Eikon terminal to get fast & accurate information to base their investment decision. Reuters stories are also seen by our media clients, on Reuters.com and other extensions available to read for everyone. Reuters news and information reaches one billion people every day.

 

About the Role
As our Editorial Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a wide range of professional administrative services and support to newsroom members and visitors
  • Manage editorial invoices and purchases process
  • Cooperate with vendors and internal sourcing department
  • Coordinate with facilities management, IT support, real estate, security, and other stakeholders
  • Support office space management
  • Schedule calendar appointments (Outlook), meetings and travel itineraries, administration of expenses
  • Plan and coordinate team events and other special events on and offsite
  • Collaborate and provide support to a wider European admin team

 

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Editorial Operations Assistant, if you have:

  • Ability to work in a highly complex ambiguous environment
  • Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines, time management and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving, project management and collaboration skills
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluency in Polish and English
  • Advanced level experience in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
