This job group contains roles that are associated with transactions in which capital is raised via debt structures in order to create, develop, grow or acquire businesses.

Specific Experience/Skills

  • Corporate finance/banking experience with exposure to Agency roles managing syndicated loan transactions being beneficial
  • Customer facing roles for corporate & institutional segments
  • Credit/transaction and portfolio management
  • Legal and operational experiences helpful  

Technical training in one of legal, credit, engineering, commerce, accounting

  • Applies understanding of financial markets & debt products & how these can be structured & applied. Knowledge of industry sectors such as fund financing, FIs/global Sponsors, insurance, project and infrastructure financing, renewable energy helpful
  • Liaises with corporate finance or lending personnel on deal structures and financial markets. Familiarity with Loan Markets Association (LMA) guidelines for syndicated lending in UK and European loan markets. Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA) knowledge and US loan markets knowledge is beneficial. 
  • Understanding of transaction legal documents and distribution documentation
  • Awareness of key regulatory considerations, Conflicts of interest, confidentiality, price competition, KYC/AML, CASS, 
  • Moderate skills in utilizing Excel and Word (occasional use of PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Debtdomain helpful 
  • Loan Ops & systems (LoanIQ) knowledge helpful
  • Exposure to risk management and financial analysis; understanding credit considerations and processes beneficial
  • Ideally have > 2 years experience in corporate finance.

Communication / Interpersonal

  • May assist Head/Corporate team at presentations
  • Presents effectively in writing & verbally to both internal & external clients

Planning / Organising

  • Plans work to ensure information is provided in timely & accurate form
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and timeframes with changing priorities - is resilient
  • Have an effective workflow system to manage multiple timelines and tasks concurrently.

Analysis / Problem Solving / Innovation

  • Applies strong/sound decision making skills • Ability to collate relevant information and synthesise to resolve matters quickly
  • Develops financial markets research skills

Service Delivery

  • Presents effectively in writing & verbally to both internal & external clients

Teamwork

  • May provide assistance to trainee analysts / graduates
  • Work with the other members of the NAB lender team and other enablement groups across the organisation.
