The Role

The Sr. Director of US Business Information Services is a critical position on the Customer Engagement and Insights leadership team responsible for guiding decision-making within the US Market.  This role will lead a team of 7 individuals focused on three functional pillars of Business Information Services: data strategy and governance, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Digital operations and analytics.  This individual will be critical in leading a team focused on developing and implementing data strategy and governance to ensure that data acquisition and utilization are aligned with the overall strategy of the US Market.   This role will also be responsible for collaborating closely with the Sr. Director, Digital Strategy to evolve the digital strategy and operations based on analysis provided by the team to allocate future investments.  In addition to the role scoped above, this individual will partner with the sales and marketing leadership team to ensure all CRM tools are developed and aligned with the US Market's strategic goals.  This incumbent in this role will partner closely with sales, marketing, market access, data science, medical affairs, global teams, clinical teams, and Information Technology (IT) to ensure business information in the US Market is accessible and executed in alignment with the strategic vision of the US market. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop an overall Business Information Systems strategy and roadmap with critical milestones to enhance current capabilities within all pillars of the function (data, digital, and CRM) continually evolving as business needs expand.
  • Evaluate synergies and efficiencies across the global and US teams to streamline data, tools, and processes for the Insights and Analytics team to derive insights that enable decision-making (ie: data warehouse, data acquisition, business rule creation)
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the overall business goals and objectives of the US Market
  • Lead a team responsible for defining and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security
  • Develop and evolve data strategy to ensure the procurement and utilization of data are robust to utilize in key decisions (ie: field force expansion, shift in strategic direction, analytics to support a brand narrative, etc.)
  • Translates patient needs into new and enhanced product features for product teams; maintains roadmaps for digital engagement products.
  • Lead the team responsible for executing the digital strategy focused on developing operational efficiencies while providing analytic performance metrics to optimize future digital placement and deployment.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for processes integral to the US market operations including source file management, business data stewardship for master data management, field roster, etc.
  • Explore and implement innovative approaches to create a ‘best in class ‘approach to master data management, sales force automation, business intelligence, and digital operations within the BIS and US market
  • Provide leadership and strategic perspective to develop, deploy, and train field-based sales force automation, CRM, portals/applications, and other systems and processes
  • Ensure that strategy is the backbone for all operations, tools, and processes (ie: CRM, digital, data, etc.) so that measurement can directly lead to business impact.

Requirements

  • 12 years of professional experience
  • Industry experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required.  An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and followership
  • Strong understanding of data strategy and governance
  • Experience with data sets including specialty pharmacy, specialty distributor, chargeback, medical claims, third-party media, and other syndicated data available.
  • Ability to ensure technical information and knowledge is translated back into the impact on the business
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with multiple functions across the entire spectrum of a business unit including Medical Affairs, Compliance, Field Sales, Marketing, Market Access/Trade, Information Technology, and Finance.
  • Proven CRM experience and understanding of sales force marketing cloud is required
  • Proven in-depth knowledge of sales, training, marketing, and operations is required
  • Proven ability to problem solve, remain flexible, have situational adaptability, and multi-tasking while high focus on executing the job on requirements and deliverables a must.
  • Ability to effectively manage and delegate project work
  • Ability to prioritize to meet critical deadlines effectively
  • Ability to lead a team across a matrix organization
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to senior levels of leadership
  • Ability to create and execute team vision

Where you will work: The role is hybrid – 3 days in our Princeton, NJ office.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$204,375.00---$340,625.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
